Enterprise Open Day

The Enterprise Open Day which is being held at the Design and Technology Building of Anggerek Desa Technology Park not only provides detailed information about the business environment in the country, but also helps to ease small and medium entrepreneurs and the community in setting up a business.

Apart from that, it also helps them seek for information and various support services provided by the relevant government agencies.

On the Second day of the Enterprise Open Day, local entrepreneurs specifically those outside of the oil and gas sector can explore business opportunities in the country through the support services provided by the relevant government agencies. The Open Day shows the commitment of the His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's government through the Energy and Industry Department at the Prime Minister's Office in driving the country's economic activities. According to Dayang Sabrina Shofry from the Energy and Industry Department, visitors can sit down and discuss or seek advice about business at the Open Day.

One of the support services that is taking part in the Open Day is the Registry of Companies and Business Names Division at the Ministry of Finance, which introduces an online registration system to help ease the registration process for companies. Awang Saiful Adilin Bin Haji Edin from the Registry of Companies and Business Names Division said that with the business registration system, the Client's Charter is now reduced to only one working day, meaning that companies can be set up in just a day.

The Enterprise Open Day showcases the commitment of government agencies in several efforts such as in narrowing the gap and expediting the business registration process. Among the agencies involved include the Permanent Secretariat of Brunei Vision 2035, Authority Monetary Brunei Darussalam, Labour Department, Royal Customs and Excise Department, Employees Trust Fund T-A-P, and banks. Visitors meanwhile are satisfied with the Open Day as it helps to introduce the public about the facilities provided by the government.
